Brokovich, whose real name is Thomas Broquet, spent his childhood in a small village in the Jura mountains before settling in Annecy (France).
After a short stint at the Beaux Arts in Metz, he became familiar with graffiti and studied graphic design in Lausanne (Switzerland).
Using the principle of the series and the notion of play in his work, he has fun transforming discarded objects to reclaim them in a fun way while questioning the subjectivity of their function, thus questioning about the dehumanization of current society.
His installation in Crans-Montana is inspired by the masked carnival figures characteristic of Lötschental (Valais), the so-called Tschäggättä.
The hand made wooden masks are located at many places in the resort but mainly on the wall of a barn.
